Technique Class Jan. 24th

We had a great time making Valentine gifts at the class on the 24th. I thought I would share a photo of the Valentine mailboxes everyone made.

Valentine's Day

Thinking Summer

With the weather being so cold today, I am thinking summer can't get here soon enough!! Here's a girlie card for a summer birthday or celebration. The sundress was made using word window and tag punches, ribbon, brads and Designer Series Paper. Sadly, summer is still five long months away.

Inspired By Nature II

I am still playing with this stamp set. This card was inspired by another stamper's card I saw on Splitcoaststampers, thank you. I used Close to Cocoa, Old Olive and Very Vanilla cardstock. For the sun I used stampin Pastels. The cattails were made from the horizontal slot punch. This is a great masculine birthday card.

Inspired by Nature

I'm still playing with some of my new stamps and thought I would share a card I made using Inspired by Nature stamp set. I love this set. I wasn't crazy about this card until I added the glitter to the flowers. When I find that a card I made just doesn't have the pizazz I'm looking for, out comes the glitter or sticklers. I guess I am the glitter/stickler queen, LOL!! Try is sometime.

Game Night

Thought I would give you a preview of some of the new stamp sets in the new 2009 Spring and Summer Stampin' Up catalog. This set is called Game Night. I bought this set to use on scrapbook pages but thought I would try a card with it also. In the new catalog there is coordinating 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and a wheel.

Simply Sent II

Thought I would share another card from the Simply Sent Card elements kit.

Simply Sent

I've had this Simply Sent Flower Power Card Elements kit for a while now and decided it was time to try it. Stampin' Up made it so quick and easy to coordinate one stamp set with the card elements to complete 9 cards in 3 styles. You can change the designs to make them what you want, which I did. You can find these card elements on page176 of the Fall and Winter Catalog. The coordinating Stamp Set is Wow Flowers. This card took 10 minutes to make. GOT TO LOVE THAT!

New Scrapbook Class

I am starting a new monthly scrapbook class on Thursday, January 29th. We will complete 1 to 2 page 12 x 12 layouts for Fall, Winter and Christmas. The class will start at 6:30 P.M. and the cost is $20. This class is for beginners and seasoned scrapbookers. This is a sample of one of the pages you will complete at the class. Please r.s.v.p by Jan. 19th if you are planning to attend.

Love you Much Bundle

We will be using a new stamp set called Love you Much from the new 2009 Spring and Summer catalog to make the Valentine's mailbox. It is currently being offered with coordinating designer series paper and a spool of pretty in pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon at a 20% discount. Technique Class for January

2009 is here!! I look forward to giving you new ideas for stamping and scrapping that will inspire your own creativity.

Today's card "Good Luck" uses the stamp set Embrace Life. It is a simple but elegant. The cardstock and ink used was Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink.
