Retirement is finally here

Yesterday was my last day of work at Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley. I had this serene feeling when I took that last walk out the door at the end of the day. I am ready for this new chapter in my life. I look forward to spending more time with my family, golfing, stamping and just having fun. I found a quote I like about retirement, "Retirement: When you stop making a living and start making a life." Need I say more!!

Polka Dots and Paisley Card

Here's a quick card that I did for a swap with my upline's group. I made a slight change to mine and added the Cheers stamp from a set offered in the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog.

Friendship Blooms (Note Pad)

Here's another project you can do. I went to my local dollar store and bought an acrylic 5 x 7 photo frame. Love the dollar store! I use a 5 x 7 pc. of Basic gray paper for inside the frame with a photo of my two favorite boys, added some stamped and cut flowers from the stamp set. I then cut some printer paper 3 x 4 (enough for a note pad), punched 2 holes at the top center, added a binder top, threaded a basic black grosgrain ribbon through the holes to hold the paper together and backed it with Bashful blue card stock . Lastly I attached the note paper to the frame with SU sticky strip. SP: Alphabet set used was Best Friends (lower). A quick and easy gift. Only took about an hour to make.

Friendship Blooms

When I started this card I wasn't sure how it would turn out. This picture doesn't do it justice. I just love this one and it was so easy to make. Let me know what you think.

Time Well Spent

Well it is snowing again! I should have been stamping tonight but instead I played a game of scrabble with my family. I did however finish a card last night for a swap I'm in and thought I would share it with you. The stamp set used is called "Time Well Spent". How appropriate for what I decided to do tonight. Let me know what you think.

The stamp set is a Level 3 hostess gift which you can earn with an in-home workshop. Email me for more details on earning free stamps.
