Tree Trimmings

It's a good thing my mother doesn't have a computer or I couldn't share this Christmas card with you, LOL. I love how it turned out. I embossed the Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot Textured Impressions Petals-A-Plenty and added it to the Basic Black and gold card stock. I stamped the ornaments using Stampin' Ups Tree Trimmings and the oval punches for the Merry Christmas. I hope she likes it.

Berry Christmas

With the snow coming down tonight, I thought I would share a Christmas card I made. Before I decide on the card I am sending out to family and friends I create several different cards and the pick the one I really like. For this card, I wanted to try out the new Textured Impressions Petals-A-Plenty as part of the background. I love how the embossed poinsettias turned out. The stamp set used was Berry Christmas from the Holiday Mini. As always, I like to add a little sparkle to my cards with Stickles.

So now it is your turn, get your stamp sets out and start stamping!

Brothers

Our last page was creating a memory of friends or family. I chose my Grandsons, surprise, surprise, lol. We used the Jumble alphabet stamp set for creating the title and the stamp set Petal Pizzaz for the flowers. Card stock used was Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Wisper White and Chocolate Chip.

Autumn Harvest

This is the second page we completed at class. I love scrapbooking my Grandchildren. It was a cold and windy day when we picked out pumpkins, but my Grandson had a great time.

We used the stamp set Autumn Splendor and Autumn Meadows designer series paper from the Holiday Mini. Card stock used was Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and Very Vanilla. Almost forgot, the smaller leaves were from the stamp set Autumn Harvest.

One of my favorite subjects

We had our last scrapbook class for 2009 this past Thursday. This is one of the pages we completed. It is simple but elegant. All we used was Basic Black, Real Red, Basic Gray and Whisper White card stock and a retired border stamp from Stampin' Up. If you are not a scrapbooker, try this on a card for a friend or relative that is near or far. It is a great way to share a photo with friends or family.

Sweet Centers

I finally used my new stamp set Sweet Centers (Holiday Mini) for my Grandson's Halloween card. I knew he would love the candy inside. I created a slide with a tab to go behind the cup so he could get the candy out without destroying the card. It was fun to make. Next will be a Christmas card with a different treat inside.

Inspired By Nature

Things have been pretty hectic at our house late and didn't realize that I haven't posted much lately. Sorry about that.

Here's another card using the stamp set Inspired by Nature and the new Butterfly punch in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.

Autumn Splendor II

We made this card at a workshop I held at Mary's house and thought I would share with you. I love the new Designer Series Paper, Autumn Meadows and the stamp set Autumn Splendor in the Holiday Mini. We are going to use this stamp set at the November Scrapbook class.

Autumn Splendor

I have been down with a bad cold this past week. I think I caught it from my grandson. Too many hugs and kisses. Oh well, I am better today and thought I would post another card idea from the new Holiday Mini using Autumn Splendor. With the weather this past week you would think Autumn is upon us. Hopefully not!!

I think this is a great set for fall and Thanksgiving. I like to send Thanksgiving cards to my family, especially to my Mom. She really appreciates the cards I send her. I think we will use this set also for a fall scrapbook page at one of my classes.

Sneak Peak

The new Holiday Mini Catalog will be available starting Sept. 1st so I thought I would give you a sneak peek. The new stamp set used on this Christmas card is Serene Snowflakes. The snowflake was stamped using a new Stampin' Up product, shimmer Paint, platinum color. I also used it along the edges of the Merry Christmas using a sponge. There are 2 more paint colors available, Frost White and Champagne Mist. Each color comes in a small bottle. You can apply the paint with a paint brush or a dabber directly onto your stamp. I used a paint brush this time. Being a new product it took me a couple of tries to get the technique correct. I think I will find a lot of uses for this new paint especially on darker colored card stock.

Petal Pizzazz

I decided to use up some of the leftover scraps from a scrapbook page I made this week to make this card. A few punches, the stamp set Petal Pizzazz and voila a retirement card! Get some of your old buttons out and add them to the center of a flower for an added accent. I also used a white gel pen for the centers of the smaller flowers.

Hope you like it.

Razzle Dazzle II

I thought I would try another card using the stamp set Razzle Dazzle in the 2009 - 2010 Idea Book and Catalog. I again used the new In Colors to make this card. Colors for this card include: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Whisper White. The Happy Birthday is another stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Animal Stories

I was happy to see the stamp set Season of Friendship in the new Stampin' Up 2009 - 2010 Idea Book and Catalog. I combined the new stamp set Animal Stories with Season of Friendship to create this cute anniversary card. The Happy Anniversary stamp is part of a new stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. It is a set of 24 stamps for different occasions.

Card stock and stamp pads used were 3 of the new In Colors, Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Bermuda Bay along with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive.

Nursery Accessories

I helped a friend of mine, Sandy design this birth announcement for her daughter who is having her 4th boy in September. The stamp set we used was Nursery Accessories. She is making 100 annoucements!! We used my grandson's newborn photo for the sample. So besides seeing the sample, you are also getting a peek at my 2nd Grandson, Carson Jameson Kenney. He was born June 17th at 2 P.M. He was 21" long and weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. He is such a good baby. You will see more of him in the future as I complete his scrapbook pages.

Simply Said III

One more sample using Simply Said stamp set. This time I used the stamp set to create the background for this 6 X 6 scrapbook page. I saw this on Splitcoast Stampers (don't know the creator but I thank her) and thought it was a wonderful example of another way to use your stamp sets for card making and scrapbooking. I love the verse from this set, "a friend is someone who makes it easy".

I think I will use this background idea one more time on a 12 x 12 page. Love it!!!

Simply Said II

For this card, I used another stamp from the Simply Said stamp set, the Sizzix BigZ Top Note and a few of the felt flowers from Flower Fusion. The Birthday Wishes is from the stamp set Wow Flowers.

Simply Said

This is the first time I am using this stamp set, Simply Said. I used 4 of the 11 stamps in this set. It is hard to see but I added Crystal Stickles to the center of each flower just to give the card a little glitz.

My Parents

At our last scrapbook class we completed
3 heritage pages. I love these photos of my parents when they were 1st married. My Mom loved the layout.
We used Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand card stock. The stamp set used was Fifth Avenue Florals. The Sizzix dies used were Big Z Top Note and Manhattan Flower textured impressions.

Birthday Wishes

I needed a birthday card for my husband so I grabbed one of my older Stampin' Up sets and created this card. I used Sahara Sand, Night of Navy and Mellow Moss card stock to create it.

Another sneak peek

I started to play with this new stamp set in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog, Razzle Dazzle. I used some of the new In Colors on it. I think this is a fun set for greeting cards and scrapbooking. I will probably add some stickles to this card to give the card some glitz. Love my stickles!! I am so glad Stampin' Up decided to add the Stampin' Write Markers to the In Color line.

Hope you and your family have a great day celebrating Father's Day.

Nursery Necessities

This is the card I made for my Grandson using the stamp set Nursery Necessities. The colors, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana and Whisper White are the same colors of Carson's nursery. I plan to use this stamp set for his 1st year scrapbook. It coordinates with the Simply Scrapin' Rock-A-Bye Boy. I also used the jumbo wheel Nursery Letters on the lower part of the card.

PS:
I now have a new subject for scrapbooking!!

A Day in the Park

I took my Grandson to Whitnall Park last Monday afternoon for a picnic for the first time. While he played on the slides and swings, I kept taking pictures. He had so much fun. This photo is one of my favorites, so I had to make a 6 x 6 scrapbook page to share with you.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Just B

Just B is one of the stamp sets on the The Last Chance list from the Spring and Summer 2009 Idea Book and catalog. I am so glad I bought this set. Good Morning Sunshine

I had a workshop this past Sunday and we made a
6 x 6 scrapbook page. I had fun using the Designer Series paper, Good Morning Sunshine. I hate to say good-bye to this paper. It is so cheerful. All the In Colors are also retiring at the end of this month. Oh well, the new In Colors in the 2009 - 2010 Idea Book and Catalog are pretty cool.

Happy Mother's Day

I love this photo of my Daughter and Grandson when
he was a baby. It says it all for Mother's Day. The
love of a Mother for her child. Happy Mother's
Day, Kim. Love you.

For anyone who is limited on time, 6 x 6 scrapbook pages are a quick and easy way to scrapbook.

I used Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss card stock with a couple Stampin' Up punches to create this 6 x 6 scrapbook page.

May is National Scrapbook Month

For those of you who scrapbook I thought I would post some more scrapbook pages we completed in our monthly class. This 12 x 12 Easter page used the stamp set A Good Egg. My daughter got a lot of ribbing because I gave my Grandson a pink Easter basket. Oh well it was the right size for all the stuff I had for him.

Beautiful Butterflies

I was playing around with the stamp set Great friends and the Stampin' Up Sizzix die Beautiful Butterflies last night. I love the layered effect I got using the butterfly die with the butterfly stamp.

Also used was the new scallop oval punch and white white 5/8" satin ribbon available in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I plan on using the this die for scrapbooking also.

Fresh Cuts

Here's another 12 x 12 scrapbook page we did at our April scrapbook class. I used only one 5 x 7 photo. I am always amazed how each person uses this layout to create their own wonderful creation. Card stock used was basic black, pretty in pink, pixie pink, gable green and whisper white.

Pocket Silhouettes

Sorry I've been away from my blog this past week. I had a busy week painting and decorating. My Daughter is expecting in June so we painted and decorated the nursery. We bought my Grandson a twin bed for his Birthday, so of couse we had to paint and redecorate his room also. Both rooms turned out so cute.
So about this card... Need a quick and easy card? Pocket Silhouettes is an inexpensive set that is very versatile for any occasion. For this card I used Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip card stock. Stamped my images and punched them out with the Wide Oval punch, added my saying and a ribbon and the card is done.
