Happy Birthday, Kim

Last week was my daughter Kim's birthday. I am always looking for different techniques to use when creating a family member's birthday card. For Kim's this year I used chipboard to create the letter 'K'. I flipped the chipboard letter over and on the opposite side of the DSP I traced the letter, cut it out and then glued the two together using SU's glue stick. To smooth out the edges I used the Stampin' Up's Distressing Essentials tool kit.

Fabulous Florets

One of my favorite stamp sets from the
Summer mini is Fabulous Florets. The
First Addition DSP compliments the Real Red
and Basic Black card stock. I stamped the image on Whisper White card stock and then stamped the florets again and colored them in. For the center of the flowers I like to use Stickles to add a little pizazz.

Heartfelt Thanks

Today's thank you card was made using the retired set, Heartfelt Thanks. I was sorry to see this set retire.

I like to have thank you cards on hand so when I need to thank someone for a kindness I have them available. I feel it is more personal to send a card then an email, don't you?

Because I Care

I can't believe it's been 3 months since my last post. So sorry for that. I will try to do better in the future.

This card was made using the Stampin' Up stamp set "Because I Care". It is a level I hostess set in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. It's a great set for all occasion cards.

Hope you like it.

Go Pack Go

Okay, this isn't a Stampin' Up set but I have
to support our Packers. I can not wait for the game on Sunday. I will be glued to the TV like everyone else in Wisconsin.

Soooooooooooo

all I am going to say is:

GO PACK GO!!!!!

Upsy Daisy

I was looking to make a quick birthday card for a friend, so I grabbed my Upsy Daisy stamp set. I love using basic black ink on whisper white card stock, so I was pleased with the way it turned out. I keep learning that you don't have to spend an hour making a card to have it be good.

Happy Thanksgiving

With my Mother in a nursing home I like to make sure I send her a card for each holiday. Even though I visit twice a week she really enjoys getting mail. Another demonstrator's card inspired this Thanksgiving card, so I thank her. The pumpkins were made using leftover pieces of Designer Series Paper and the extra large and large oval punches.
